Minutes for the San Antonio Village Owners’ Association Board of Directors

Monthly Meeting of November 16, 2022

The meeting was called to order by President Dawn Lucian at 7:02 pm. Other Board Members present were Diane Kirchner (Vice President), Ken Masuda (Secretary), Michael Porter (Treasurer), and Cindy Capra (member-at-large). Also present were Daniel Ortiz (Manager) and 10 homeowners.

1. The Board approved (Diane Kirchner/Cindy Capra) the minutes of the October 19, 2022 meeting.

2. Management and Budget
• Mike Porter presented a budget update. No major issues were reported. The Board (Ken Masuda/Dawn Lucian) approved the budget report.

3. The Board approved the following officers for the current fiscal year:
• President Dawn Lucian, Vice President Diane Kirchner, Secretary Cindy Capra, and Treasurer Michael Porter.

4. Pool Heating Temperature
• Following a presentation by Manager Ortiz the Board approved (Dawn Lucian/Mike Porter) an increase in the main pool’s water temperature from 82 to 84 degrees during those portions of the year that the pool is heated.
• According to the Manager, this increase could result in additional costs of around $700 to $1,200 each for gas and electricity.

5. Allocation of FY 2021-22 savings to Reserves. Mike Porter requested that, in order to present an accurate amount for the Board’s approval, action on this item be deferred until the January 2023 meeting.

6. General Discussion
• Diane Kirchner reported on the results of the planned Halloween trick or treat activity
• Following discussion and homeowner input it was decided to put the question of “Use of the Recreation Room for Money-making Purposes” on the January 2023 meeting agenda.
